Alexander Calder

In 1963, Guerrero was sent on a routine assignment for House and Garden magazine to photograph the home of Alexander Calder, the creator of the mobile. Guerrero was fascinated by what he saw and began a thirteen-year relationship with the sculptor. Guerrero’s photographs capture Calder himself, his exotic surroundings and his joyous lifestyle, both in the United States and France. Guerrero’s close relationship with Calder adds a new perspective on this internationally acclaimed artist.
